The Elgan Clothes Airer

From the traditional Welsh name meaning bright circle, our ‘El-gan’ drying rack has an unique design which allows for four 28mm round laths to be suspended between two ornate cast iron rack ends.

This makes the Elgan a elegant and practical drying rack, as clothes and blankets can be added and removed with ease, and one which would not be out of place in a traditional cottage or farm house setting. The airer comes complete with a full working pulley system and installation guide.

Two solid cast iron Elgan airer rack ends supplied in a colour of your choice to match the pulleys and cleat hook. Finished with a tough coating these are guaranteed not to chip or rust during the use of your drying rack.

Four sustainably sourced 28mm round laths, specially produced for our Elgan airer. Each lath is hand finished to provide a smooth surface making them perfect for drying those delicate laundry items. Simply select the length required when placing your order.

A full working pulley system which includes one double screw pulley, one single screw pulley, one cleat hook and 10 metres of strong cotton sash cord. Comes complete with a full set of easy to follow instructions and can be installed in most ceiling spaces.

Professionally made cast iron screw pulleys supplied as a single unit and finished to the highest standard. Designed not to break or unscrew in the ceiling space, they can be removed in one piece and relocated if required.
